Jennifer Kovacs is an NYC city based professional aerialist and dancer. She currently performs around the globe in places such as NYC, Miami, Washington DC, Dubai, Australia, and LA. Jennifer's passion for dance led her into the world of fitness, and since 2000 she has been studying floor barre, yoga, and Pilates. In May 2005, she underwent knee surgery and spent several months in physical therapy and rehabilitation. After she healed, she continued to work alongside her physical therapist, Gregory Taylor, as his assistant, where she worked one-on-one helping patients with their rehabilitation. She developed a deep understanding of what it takes to come back from injuries, using a mind-body connection for a safe and effective return to activities, from daily living to performing. Some performance highlights include performing in the opening credits for Saturday Night Live and being the lead aerialist for Ultra Music Festival. When she is not performing Jen teaches aerial arts classes. She has been teaching fitness classes and training with TDB for over 10 years. Her certifications include Dance Educators of America, Kettlebell (Kettlebell Concepts), Active Isolated Stretch, Chair Yoga from the T-Bach program, CPR, and ACE. Jen enjoys making fitness for everyone. Her approach is very anatomical. Stress is placed on proper alignment and safety. She provides an encouraging and positive atmosphere for clients to meet their personal goals. Jen furthers her own training by becoming the student and taking regular dance, yoga, and conditioning courses as well as working one on one with the top cique du soleil coaches.
